about

Written in an idle moment on a wet afternoon in July 2017, this tune is a celebration of an (unfairly) much-maligned type of weather. During very dry periods I often play it as a hopeful charm to bring on some much needed precipitation, maybe it works... In 2018 I crouched in a doorway and played it as I looked out on my thirsty garden soaking up the first proper rain in several weeks. I also recorded the sound of that very welcome downpour, which is what you can hear accompanying me and setting the scene on this track.
